چکیده

Chrysanthemum nodal explants were cultured on 1⁄2 X MS medium containing different combinations of growth hormones. A reasonable callus formed on explants when MS contained 0.5 mg. cm each of BAP and NAA after about 3 weeks. Similar results were obtained on MS + 0.5 mg. cm BAP + 0.1 mg. cm NAA or 1.0 mg. cm BAP + 0.1 mg. cm NAA. A maroonish embryogenic callus was formed on MS containing BAP only. This callus, then exhibited various embryonic developmental stages and gave rise to normal seedlings. These were acclimatized and transferred to natural conditions. The plants ultimately flowered exhibiting superior quality and early maturity compared to stock plants.

Callus Induction and Plant Regeneration of Chrysanthemum morifolium and C. coccineum via Direct and Indirect Organogenesis and Genetic Fidelity Analysis Using IRAP, ISSR and SCoT Molecular Markers

In vitro propagation of C. morifolium cv. ‘Homa’ and cv. ‘Delkash’ and wild C. coccineum via direct and indirect organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis were investigated. BAP at 0, 1, 2 and 3 mg l-1 or NAA at 0, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2 mg l-1 concentrations were used to induce direct and indirect organogenesis of shoot tip explants. To study the callu...

Clonal Propagation of Acacia koa

Introduction Koa (Acacia koa) is currently the most important commercialized hardwood in Hawai'r's forests. A sustainable supply of koa will depend on reforestation with the best adapted seed sources and perhaps with vegetatively propagated cultivars having unique traits. At present, koa forests are in a serious state of decline, and improvement appears warranted if sustainable supply is to be ...
